FAQ
What is Cheese Toasted?
We are a small Canadian apparel design company that focus on making original apparel designs and patterns. See our About Us page for more information.
What do you make?
We make anything from sweaters, hoodies, t-shirts, other apparels and accessories.
Where are you located?
We are located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Who made the designs on your apparels.
We did.
Are your designs AI generated?
Absolutely not! You may find our work in progresses from sketches to finished product on our instagram page. For our stance, we are strongly against AI generated art. We do not believe a person who is unable to draw without AI is worthy of being called an artist or designer. Putting in a word prompt to generate images does not earn one the title of a designer or artist, regardless of how talented they are at writing word prompts.
I still don't believe you did not use AI.
That's too bad. We are sorry you don't believe us. We can agree to disagree. On the bright side, thank you for thinking our designs are good enough that you even mistaken it for AI generated.
How long does it take for you to design each apparel?
1-2 months per design in general. The sleeves often requires a lot of redrawing and redesigning surprisingly, since it often needs to synergize with the main design, but not over-shadowing it.
How durable are your apparels?
Very durable. Especially after receiving feedback from our buyers who had worn our apparels for years, we can now confidently say our apparels are quite durable and tough. We do chose to use premium quality fabrics to ensure that, despite the higher manufacturing costs, that the apparel stays durable. In a world of maximizing profit while using the cheapest materials, we strongly believe anyone who is paying a premium price for apparel should receive a premium product with superior material and construction. Everything from the fabric, printing, to the stitching has been closely refined by us to ensure the quality of our apparels.
What do you use for your apparel printing?
We use silk-screen printing for almost all of our apparels. Some are also embroidered.
How durable is your shirt printing?
We use silk screen printing, but also one that's super durable. Base on our customer feedback, people have said our silk screen printing is durable enough to last for years. Some stated they are even able to keep it in 100% pristine condition by taking care like how you would with any other silk screen printed apparels.
As the designer of Cheese Toasted is a very lazy person when it comes to her own laundry, she designed our apparel quality in a way so that it can be thrown in the washer and dryer in whatever setting she feels like on that day. However, unlike our designer's terrible habits, we still recommend you to follow our washing instructions. This is to ensure the silk screen prints remain flawless for years to come.
How warm are your sweatshirts?
Really warm fam. We are located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, so our sweatshirts and hoodies are designed for the windy and cold climate of the Rocky Mountains.
Will you offer the sweaters and hoodies in thinner materials? It's too warm.
Never say never, we could potentially look into that if there are enough demands for it.
What material do your use for your apparels?
For sweatshirts and hoodies, we use a jersey-fleece ultra soft fabric that is 65% cotton, and 35% polyester special blend.
For T-shirts, we are currently using a 95% cotton, with 5% spandex blend.
What's the sizing of your apparel?
We generally use US unisex sizing, but please refer to each product page for specific sizing. Also refer to our sizing guide for further details.
Are your apparels pre-washed.
Yes.
Why are your apparel so expensive?
